Hironao Tsuboi

Born in 1980. Graduated from Tama Art University, Department of Environmental Design in 2004.

After graduating, he stayed at Sojiji Temple, the head temple of the Soto sect, as Unsui. Established Hironao Tsuboi Design, the predecessor of 2007.

Representative works include iida "LIGHT POOL" middle "Humidifier" 100% "Sakura saku glass". Has a reputation for a multifaceted approach that flexibly interprets the target environment, and has been involved in a wide range of products centered on product design, from daily life products to home appliances and furniture.

Awards include the red dot Award (Germany), D & AD global awards (UK), Good Design Award, etc. Selected for ID Magazine (US) "World emerging designers 40" in 2008. 2009 D & AD (UK) Selected as Japan's most exciting new design talent for "Creative Faces". Selected for 10 years ELLE DECO (Sun) YOUNG JAPANESE DESIGN TALENT 2010. Received the 2012 ADC NY, One Show design award.
