Hironao Tsuboi

Born in 1980. Graduated from Tama Art University Department of Environmental Design in 2004.

After graduating, he worked as Unsui at Sojiji Temple, the head temple of the Soto sect. Established its predecessor Hironao Tsuboi Design in 2007.

Representative works include iida's ``LIGHT POOL,'' middle ``Humidifier,'' and 100% ``Sakurasaku glass.'' He has a reputation for a multifaceted approach that flexibly interprets the target environment, and to date he has been involved in a wide range of products, from daily necessities to home appliances and furniture, with a focus on product design.

Awards include the Red Dot Award (Germany), D&AD Global Awards (UK), and the Good Design Award. Selected as one of IDMagazine's ``World Emerging Designers 40'' in 2008. In 2009, he was selected as Japan's most exciting new design talent by D&AD (English) ``Creative Faces''. Selected as ELLE DECO (Sun) YOUNG JAPANESE DESIGN TALENT 2010. 2012 ADC NY, One Show design award, etc.
